Before he was a king, legend says Ragnarr Lothbrok began his journey as a humble farmer, driven by a fierce ambition to explore uncharted lands across the sea. Part historical warrior and part legendary hero, he rose from these modest origins to become celebrated in Old Norse sagas as the ultimate Viking king and navigator. His meteoric rise was fueled by daring exploits, most famously besieging Paris in 845 CE and forever altering the course of European history. Renowned for launching devastating raids into the Frankish Empire and Anglo-Saxon England, Ragnarr’s journey ultimately ended in a Northumbrian snake pit. His dramatic capture and execution, allegedly sparked a massive wave of vengeance; driven by his death, his historically verified sons, including Ivar the Boneless and Björn Ironside, united the Great Heathen Army to invade England, cementing the Lothbrok name into immortal legend.

As the creator of a small independent timepiece microbrand, Alfredo built The Pini Collection on a philosophy that challenges the traditional luxury watch market: a timepiece should never exist merely as a status symbol, but as a reflection of the individual wearing it and the story they carry.

Through years of working closely with clients and watch aficionados, Alfredo witnessed an industry increasingly driven by flash, prestige, and material competition.
